The USO of Hampton Roads and Central Virginia is proud to present the 2011 Patriotic Art Contest to help decorate the walls of our USO centers at the Richmond Airport and Fort Lee. This contest is open to all school age children in elementary, middle, and high school students as well as homeschoolers. Winners will be chosen based on entries received and artwork will be turned into wallpaper for our USO centers at Fort Lee and the Richmond Airport. In addition, the winners will be invited to the unveiling and a reception at the respective locations. This artwork will be dedicated on Flag Day, June 14, 2011.  Additional artwork not chosen to be used as wallpaper at our centers will be on display at the Applebee’s in the Richmond International Airport. Contest ends on May 18, 2011.

Contest Rules:  

• All art work must be a minimum of 8 x 10 or maximum of 12 x 12.
• All art work must be original and signed by artist with age listed in bottom right corner.
• Art work must be patriotic and must show a positive view of the military.
• Art work may feature any branch of service and military families.All entries must have name of child, age and school clearly written on back of picture so that children can be notified through school if they have won.
• All winners will have to have a signed photo/art release from a parent or guardian upon notification of winning.
• All art work will become property of the Hampton Roads/Central Virginia USO.

Winners will be notified on or about June 1, 2011.
