Exceptional Family Member Day

Each year the USOHRCV and Kings Dominion offers a day of fun for military families who have children with serious or life threatening illnesses and children who are wheelchair bound. Through the USOHRCV and the parks’ staff, with the support of the Joint Military Exceptional Family Member Committee, arrangements are made for free admission into the Park, medical staff to be on hand, handicap accessibility to rides and a group picnic.

USO Military Command Team Support

USOHRCV service centers provide a safe place for Family Support Groups to host meetings and activities. Currently, the USOHRCV centers at the AMC Terminal, Ft. Eustis and Little Creek host meetings for over 20 support groups. In addition to providing a location for these meetings, USOHRCV Center Directors are frequent guest speakers at support groups providing information and referral to military and their families.
